Login/logout note when publics are turned off

Hi all. Well, I've been wondering (and some people agree) if it is possible to put up a feature so that users can still get notes of people logging in/out even if they have publics turned off. That would be very helpful, in my opinion. And we thought, since we have already quicknote filters, maybe this wouldn't be too hard to do?
I'm sure many peopel would appreciate this.

Personally, when I have publics off one of the reasons is because I don't want to be bothered by all the sound effects and announcements of people logging in and out. But that could just be me.

that is a lovely idea. if you don't like the topic of conversation for instance, it would really come in handy

I actually like this idea. Usually the reason I turn publics off is because a lot of people are talking and I want to save loading time but i still want to see if my friends log in. This would be wonderful for me and possibly others.

The plan is to add public QN's to the filter, so all of this will be possible.

Great. Becky, usually if I turn off publics is because the comments people make disgust/annoy me, so yeah, that's why

well, I don't usually write about something if someone has already said it but I'd really really like that feature. I don't wwant all the public chat but I do want to know when people log in.

I'd like it if it were customized so I could turn it off if I didn't want to hear it.

I'd also like to be notified when buckeye fan logs in so I can leave. &LT;lol>
